Maintenance Technician

JOB SUMMARY

An Ellis Park Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance around the facility including structural and mechanical repairs, applying preventative measures to the facility to reduce the risk of future problems, and fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.

Some details of what you will do:

• Maintain facility grounds by ensuring proper care of buildings, equipment and fixtures.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs to heating/cooling units and plumbing.
• Perform structural and roofing repairs to backside barns and stalls including cleaning as required.
• Gather/dispose of litter and perform weeding activities.
• Promote workplace safety and OSHA compliance by addressing concerns related to facility maintenance.
• Assist with construction tasks including handling and/or transporting equipment and materials.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six (6) months of relevant work experience.
• Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
