Job Summary

An Ellis Park Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance around the facility, including structural and mechanical repairs, applying preventative measures to reduce future problems, and fixing safety hazards to ensure OSHA compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain facility grounds, buildings, equipment, and fixtures.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs to heating/cooling units and plumbing.
• Conduct structural and roofing repairs to barns and stalls, including cleaning.
• Dispose of litter and perform weeding activities.
• Promote safety and OSHA compliance by addressing maintenance concerns.
• Assist with construction tasks, handling and transporting equipment and materials.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of relevant work experience.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and nights.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Kentucky gaming/racing license.
