Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Henderson, Kentucky. The role provides an opportunity to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a medical‑surgical and telemetry setting while earning competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
• Preferred: NIHSS certification.
• Preferred: ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• Other certifications and licenses may be required.

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, document changes, and report concerns.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians during treatments, and monitor responses.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients recovering from medical or surgical conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
• Prioritize care based on acuity and clinical needs while maintaining efficiency.
• Ensure infection control practices are strictly followed, including hand hygiene and PPE use.
• Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences.
• Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with external resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication.
• Proficient reading, writing, and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and proficiency with PC skills.
• Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment up to 100 lbs, push, pull, and bend.
• Interpersonal skill to work effectively with professionals and ancillary staff.
• Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and procedural assistance.
• Mental resilience for high‑pressure environments and irregular activity schedules.
• Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
