Flex Security Officer - On-Call

Flex Security Officer – Henderson, KY

Hiring immediately. Flex Security Officer positions are available on an as needed/on-call basis. Pay is $15.50 per hour, paid weekly.

401(k) Eligibility: Qualified candidates who work at least 20 hours per week (minimum 500 hours per year) will be eligible for a 401(k) with an employer match of up to 8%.

• 1+ years of security, military, and/or law enforcement experience preferred.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Prior truck gate experience preferred.
• Exceptional report writing skills.
• Must be able to work independently and collaborate effectively with others.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

The Flex Officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts that become available due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This flexibility allows Sunstates to deliver uninterrupted service to clients while maintaining a healthy work-life balance for personnel.

Flex Officer scheduling is variable and tailored to operational needs:

• Training at multiple posts or facilities as required; assignments are temporary.
• Shifts, days off, and hours per week will vary.
• Shifts are assigned as they become available based on staffing requirements.
• Some shifts will be posted in advance; others may require short‑notice coverage.
• Workers must confirm availability and communicate any conflict with their supervisor.
• Short‑notice shifts require at least 80% attendance; refusing more than 20% can affect employment status.
