Job Description

INSPECTION TECHNICIAN

Job Summary:

The Inspection Helper will assist job Foreman and crew with various duties associated with inspection of steel structures.

Job Duties:

* Assists with staging equipment

* Assists with operations of drone equipment

* Takes photos of structures

* Takes thickness readings for steel structures

* Document work as needed

* Climb and inspect towers for defects, safety, and code violations

Qualifications:

* Must be at least 18 years of age or older

* Must be comfortable with working in high places

* Ability to follow safety policies and procedures

* Works well with a team

* Able to drive a company vehicle safely to field sites

* Possesses strong problem-solving skills

* Manages time effectively

* Detail-oriented

* Must be willing to travel 4 to 5 weeks at a time across the country

* Ability to lift 40lbs on regular basis

* Ability to pass OSHA 10.

* Ability to pass CPR/First Aid.

* Ability to pass RF Awareness.

* Ability to pass Tower Climbing Certifications including Tower Rescue (Comtrain)

* Comfortable with climbing heights up to 2000'

* Valid driver's license and pass insurance requirements to drive a company vehicle.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
