Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts monthly, accurately recording all transactions and investigating discrepancies.
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as necessary.
• Accurately record prepaid expenses and apply amortization over the correct periods.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis to identify discrepancies and work with department heads to address issues.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and reduce inefficiencies.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports for management and analyzing performance trends.
• Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations to facilitate the audit process.
• Manage fixed assets, including maintaining depreciation schedules, recording asset additions/disposals, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

• Required:
  
  Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Bachelor’s degree in
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Prior experience with accounting information systems.

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents and financial information
• Proven ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task

• Must be able to sit/stand up for up to a full 8-hour shift, in the performance of the position.
• Must be able to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and while meeting regular deadlines.
• Must be able to work varied hours/days as business needs require.
