Senior Accountant; On-Site - Government Construction Audit in Henderson

Job Description

Clark County School District (CCSD), the fifth‑largest school district in the nation with an annual budget of approximately $4 billion, is seeking an on‑site Senior Accountant to support auditing and cost improvement for school construction projects ($50M–$150M).

• Review contractor contracts, billing, and supporting documentation using large‑scale data analysis
• Conduct site visits to verify work performed and reconcile with billed quantities and costs
• Identify cost overruns and discrepancies in labor, materials, and quantities
• Evaluate compliance with contracts, policies, and regulations (bids, bonds, insurance, waivers)
• Review financial transactions (pay apps, invoices, change orders, POs, requisitions)
• Prepare audit reports with recommendations for cost savings and process improvements
• Participate in pricing reviews and apply insights to improve project efficiency

• Salary: $88K or above (DOE)
• Salary is net of employee pension contribution (19.25%, 5‑year vesting; NV state and local government pool) and is exempt from Social Security tax (6.2%)
• $3,000 stipend for professional certifications (e.g., CPA)

• Auditing and/or construction management experience is a plus.
