Overview
Under general supervision, the Supervising Court Support Specialist supervises the daily operations and performs highly skilled courtroom and clerical work in support of the Municipal Court, and performs related work as assigned.
Ideal Candidate- Attention to detail, initiative, sound judgement, adaptability, and good time management skills
- Experience leading and training the work of coworkers while maintaining positive and supportive relationships
- A proven record of taking on increasing level of responsibility within roles and assignments
Education and Experience
- Graduation from high school or the equivalent
- Five (5) years of full-time clerical experience in a court of law, at least one (1) year at a supervisory level
- Proficiency in keyboarding sufficient to type 35 net words per minute
- Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check
- Must obtain and maintain Security Awareness and National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS) certification upon hire/transfer and recertify as needed; must maintain as a condition of continued employment
- Training employees to use criminal justice information systems; must complete ATAC proficiency requirements within first six (6) months and maintain as condition of continued employment
- Two (2) years of full-time experience supervising or leading clerical personnel assigned to a court of law
- College coursework in criminal justice, public administration, or business administration
Equivalent education and experience may be considered.

Full-time non-probationary employees who successfully complete the assessment process may be placed on an eligibility list for up to six (6) months. Probationary full-time, part‑time, temporary employees, and external candidates who successfully complete the testing process will be placed on a separate list that may be used for up to one (1) year.
