Bookkeeper

POSITION SUMMARY:

The person in this position will be responsible for the bookkeeping needs of West Care assigned regions and corporate activities. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Accounts Receivable (full cycle) invoice entry, applying payments, collections

Bank account reconciliation

Balance sheet accounts reconciliation

Prepare and record journal entries with understanding of debits and credits

General ledger review and reporting

Administrative support to Controller Create and maintain spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel Monitor expenses ensuring costs do not exceed contract maximum

Prepare reports as needed.

Respond to audit requests, corrective actions if necessary.

Prepare and make bank deposits.

Maintenance of accounts receivable documents.

Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of West Care Foundation; and Perform all other duties as assigned.

Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a criminal background clearance

Valid drivers license and ability to obtain and maintain West Cares vehicle insurance is required; andCPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test.

As mandated by Presidential Order all employees of West Care Foundation, Inc. and all affiliates of West Care Foundation, Inc. will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 effective 12/8/2021. Employees that have requested a Medical or Religious Exemption, which has been approved by Human Resources will be required to test for the virus weekly.

During your tenure with West Care there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that West Care may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.

EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE:

(2) years of experience keeping or reviewing financial or statistical records.

Academic education above the 12th grade may be substituted for one year of the required experience based on either: (a) one year of general education equivalent to one year of work experience or (b) certification from a business or trade school equivalent to one year of work experience.

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Work is primarily in a professional, business office setting.
