Location:
Specified Cox site (no remote)
Compensation: $24.23 – $36.35 per hour, plus potential commission or incentive program.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, transmission flushes, and inspect vehicles for mechanical deficiencies.
- Conduct light repairs and, based on certification levels, perform various maintenance functions including OBD‑II diagnostics, brake component work, tire service, tune‑ups, suspension repairs, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Maintain and repair equipment such as cable trailers and laptop docking stations.
- Keep the shop area clean, tidy, and compliant with safety standards.
- Dispose of fluids safely and in accordance with regulations.
- Create and maintain accurate vehicle history and maintenance records.
- Perform up‑fit installations on new vehicles as required.
- Handle more complex repairs, advanced diagnostics, and moderate fabrication, including welding.
- Coordinate with vendors for parts, repairs, and to ensure prompt service.
- Provide roadside assistance when necessary.
- Engage in equipment design and fabrication tasks for custom equipment needs.
- Maintain availability of specialized trucks by troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems, generators, electrical systems, hybrids, and on‑board computer systems.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of vehicle service and repair experience.
- Preferred:
Additional years of experience or a higher level degree/certification in a related discipline. - Minimum of 4 ASE certifications (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions.
- Ability to work safely in a fast‑paced environment and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Customer service experience preferred (≥1 year).
Hourly base pay: $24.23 – $36.35 (varies by location and qualifications). Additional compensation may include commission and/or incentive programs.
New hire bonus of $2,500, paid 50% after 30 days and the remaining 50% after 180 days.
Paid Time Off:
Minimum 6.67 hours per month plus seven paid holidays. Additional leave options include bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer, military, and parental leave.
