Operations Manager
At VCI Construction, you will lead the frontline team responsible for the seamless receipt, storage, and distribution of critical materials while overseeing the health and maintenance of our regional fleet. - Direct the daily activities of Lead Technicians and Warehouse Technicians; manage staff scheduling,
- Oversee the periodic audits conducted by Lead Techs, verify results, and implement corrective actions for systemic inventory discrepancies.
- Approve requests for material restocking and manage the warehouse operations
- Accurately input and track data for oil changes, preventative maintenance, and equipment repairs within the fleet management system.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors, coordinating repair schedules and verifying work completion to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Ensure all team members strictly adhere to safe driving policies and DOT regulations; manage vehicle inspections.
- Monitor equipment wear and tear to forecast future maintenance needs or replacement cycles.
- Monitoring fuel transactions for policy compliance, fraud detection, and accuracy while analyzing usage trends to reduce costs.
- Must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the U.S. for this company.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is a plus. - Valid State driver's license (non-provisional) with an acceptable driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical exam.
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse or fleet handling, with at least 2 years in a dedicated supervisory or management role.
- Proven experience in fleet administration or maintenance coordination, including familiarity with vehicle maintenance schedules and vendor management.
- Advanced knowledge of inventory control systems (ERP) and proficiency in data entry for fleet maintenance tracking.
- Certified expertise in operating forklifts and pallet jacks, with the ability to train others on their safe operation.
- Must have working knowledge of computers, including Kofax and Excel.
