Senior Utilities Business Analyst
City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list for the Senior Utilities Business Analyst classification in the Department of Utility Services. The eligibility list may be used to fill vacancies for up to one year.
ResponsibilitiesUnder limited supervision, provides support in the evaluation, design, documentation, and implementation of programs and projects to effectively manage, fund, and support the City of Henderson utility operations; conducts efficiency studies; participates in asset and fiscal management activities; manages and implements assigned projects; and performs related duties as assigned.
Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate possesses experience administering and improving Maximo to support operations across the Department of Utility Services. They are skilled in configuring workflows, escalations, and automation tools to improve efficiency and data accuracy. The candidate demonstrates strong analytical abilities, understands Maximo data, and enjoys developing reports, dashboards, and KPIs that support operational decision making. They communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical teams, troubleshoot system issues, and take a proactive approach to optimizing processes.
Salary and BenefitsCompetitive salary range of $84,416.35 to $ annually. Base wage increase upon successful completion of an initial probationary or qualifying period. Annual pay adjustment increase or lump sum bonus. Four‑day, 38‑hour workweek. Paid leave and holidays. - Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- Five years of experience performing financial, administrative, or business analysis, including analytical experience in a utility setting.
- Experience administering and improving Maximo in a utility environment.
- Skilled in configuring workflows, escalations, and automation tools.
- Strong analytical abilities and data‑driven decision support.
- Valid Nevada or “border state” driver’s license.
- Master’s degree in a related field (desirable).
- Experience in team building and consensus among stakeholders (desirable).
- Certificate of training in asset management (desirable).
- Certified Business Analyst (desirable).
