Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

Tutor Perini Building Corp. seeks a Project Engineer to join the Las Vegas, NV team. The role focuses on monitoring construction activities, ensuring schedules and contract specifications are met, and driving project execution from design through closeout.

• Inspect construction sites daily and coordinate with contractors to schedule deliveries.
• Interpret designs and drawings, resolve conflicts, and prepare field design change requisitions and “as built” drawings.
• Prepare and disseminate documentation records such as status reports and punch lists.
• Verify that all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
• Attend coordination meetings with contractors, clients, and A/E representatives.
• Develop checklists for project closeout documentation in conjunction with specifications.
• Coordinate quality control activities with the construction schedule.
• Assist Contracts Manager with scope gaps and propose solutions to quality control issues.
• Create, process, and administer RFIs; set up job‑specific concrete log and maintain concrete log.
• Coordinate MEP start‑up and commission meetings and overhead and underground coordination.
• Create scheduling construction sequence, logistics, and drawings.
• Understand and comply with the company’s safety program and remedial safety procedures.
• Coordinate changes in mock‑ups and shop drawings and specifications.
• Oversee quantity take‑offs as project requires.
• Oversee project‑related pricing/budgets and develop procurement log to track progress.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Two or more years of commercial construction experience on a commercial project exceeding $50 million.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Primavera P6, and Procore.
• Experience with blueprint reading, construction scheduling, and CAD.
• Previous experience as a field engineer or project engineer on commercial construction projects is preferred.
