KVVU, the Gray‑owned station in Las Vegas, is hiring an anchor/reporter. The role involves anchoring weekend newscasts and reporting on weekdays, providing an ideal opportunity for a journalist who excels in the field during the week and commands the anchor desk on weekends.

• Generate strong story ideas and produce/report those stories for on‑air and digital channels. All anchors also report.
• Anchor weekend newscasts while spending weekdays out reporting.
• Handle breaking news and live field coverage.

• Three years of minimum experience as a reporter and anchor in a TV newsroom.
• Proven ability to conceive and pitch strong enterprise (original) story ideas that support the FOX5 "Local Las Vegas" brand.
• Strong writing skills and ability to tell engaging stories through visual mediums.
• College degree preferred, but not required.
