As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for handling incoming and outbound calls for Lasik and Cataract procedures. The role also includes outbound sales calls to Lasik referrals. Regular training will be provided to assist in the individual and team success.

Compensation$19/hour
Roles and Responsibilities- Complete laser vision correction and cataracts information training.
- Proficient in Call Center operation across multiple functions including customer service and sales.
- Add appropriate patient information into Next Gen systems.
- Directs calls to other departments as needed.
- Schedule more complex appointments correctly – servicing multiple practices.
- Maintains knowledge of company products and customer service processes.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and always maintain patient confidentiality.
- Assist in other administrative tasks and projects assigned by the supervisor.
- 2+ years’ experience in high volume call center preferred but willing to train the right person; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year of employment in a patient experience position required.
- One year of outbound sales experience is preferred.
- Proven track record of success in a medical/health care competitive sales environment.
- Managed care/pull through experience.
- Nextgen-Practice Management, Mod Med
- Electronic Health Record, Ring Central - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with individuals across all organizational tiers, including executive leadership.
- Outstanding customer service aptitude.
- Dedication to a patient-centered approach, delivering exceptional patient care
- Proficiency in use of Internet, Intranet resources and MS Outlook
- Proficient typing speed and accuracy (35 WPM)
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associates degree preferred
