Part Time Instructor - American Sign Language
Nevada State University invites applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty to teach American Sign Language Interpreting courses. Faculty will be compensated at a rate of $1,160 per credit hour for courses ranging from 2 to 3 credits. Courses are scheduled on an as‑needed basis in the morning, afternoon or evening as required by the department.
Required Qualifications- Master’s degree in Deaf Studies, Linguistics (ASL), American Sign Language Interpreting, or related fields.
- Availability to teach in person in the morning, afternoon or evening.
- Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, educational excellence, and mentoring undergraduate students.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (NSU does not sponsor employment‑related visas).
- Experience using Learning Management Systems such as Canvas, Blackboard, or D2L.
- Relevant industry experience teaching American Sign Language.
