Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Student Worker - Student Affairs. The student worker will provide administrative, communications, social media and event support to the Vice President of Students and possible other Executive Team members. The position will assist in daily operations, division-wide initiatives, and student focused events that advance Nevada State's mission.

Core Responsibilities:

• Serve as greeter, answer phones, or escort for visitors meeting with Executive Team.
• Create and manage VPSA social media presence.
• Support coordination of division and campus wide events.
• Assist with preparation of VPSA meetings.
• Assist with promotional or marketing projects that support the division.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Must be enrolled as a degree seeking student with a minimum of 6 credits in the current or upcoming semester at Nevada State.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).

Preferred Qualifications:

• GPA of 3.0. higher.
• Demonstrated work ethic.
• Student must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.

Work Hours:

This position will work 15 hours per week. Student employees can work up to 19.5 hours per week.

Hourly Rate:

$12.00 per hour.
