Job Description Nevada State University School of Nursing invites applications for two 9-Month Lecturer of Nursing position starting Fall 2026. The Lecturer of Nursing is primarily dedicated to a growing on-the-ground pre-licensure BSN program.

We are seeking outstanding nurse educators to work alongside dedicated faculty and staff in a highly collegial, interdisciplinary environment based on Caring Science. In the School of Nursing, Caring Science is infused throughout the curriculum and influences how faculty, staff, and students interact to achieve the institutional teaching mission. As a faculty member, your primary teaching assignment may include both lab/clinical and/or didactic instruction, based upon operational needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

Teach 24 credits per academic year across two semesters.

Teach upper-level courses in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

Serve on departmental and college-wide committees.

Conduct required weekly office  available to students, staff, and faculty.

Student advising.

Participate in college-wide events.

Engage in scholarship of growth and development in accordance with expectations for promotion.

Use experience as a nurse educator to act as a faculty resource.

Other duties as assigned by the Dean of the School of Nursing.
