Part Time Instructor – Mathematics

Nevada State University invites applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty for in‑person, online or hybrid courses in Mathematics. Applications will be considered on an as‑needed basis determined by course availability. Adjunct faculty members are compensated at the rate of $1,160 per credit hour. Courses range from 2‑5 credits.

• Teach undergraduate mathematics courses in accordance with established course objectives and departmental standards.
• Prepare and deliver engaging instruction that promotes student learning and academic success.
• Develop and maintain course materials, assignments, assessments, and grading criteria as appropriate.
• Utilize instructional technologies and learning management systems to support teaching and communication.
• Collaborate with department faculty and staff as needed to support program and student success.

• Master's degree in Mathematics or closely related field.
• Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, educational excellence, and mentoring undergraduate students.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment‑related visas).

• Ph.D. in Mathematics or closely related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to active learning and innovative teaching.
• Previous teaching experience.
