Part-Time Instructor – Women’s Studies

Job Description: Adjunct faculty will teach undergraduate Women’s and Gender Studies courses (WMST 101) of 3 credits at Nevada State University. Instruction will be delivered in-person and online as needed.

Full-Time Equivalent: 33.6%

Rate: $1,160 per credit hour

Employment Type: Adjunct (Part-time)

• Teach undergraduate WMST courses in accordance with established course objectives and departmental standards.
• Prepare and deliver engaging instruction that promotes student learning and academic success.
• Develop and maintain course materials, assignments, assessments, and grading criteria as appropriate.
• Utilize instructional technologies and learning management systems to support teaching and communication.
• Collaborate with department faculty and staff as needed to support program and student success.

• M.A. in social sciences with relevant graduate coursework in Women’s and Gender Studies.
• Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, educational excellence, and mentoring undergraduate students.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• M.A. or Graduate Certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to active learning and innovative teaching.
• Previous teaching experience.
