Part Time Instructor – Photography/Cinematography

Nevada State University invites applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty to teach in‑person courses in photography/cinematography. Adjunct faculty members are compensated at a rate of $1,160 per credit hour; courses are three credits apiece.

• Teach undergraduate courses in photography/cinematography in accordance with established course objectives and departmental standards.
• Prepare and deliver engaging instruction that promotes student learning and academic success.
• Develop and maintain course materials, assignments, assessments, and grading criteria as appropriate.
• Utilize instructional technologies and learning management systems to support teaching and communication.
• Collaborate with department faculty and staff as needed to support program and student success.

• Master’s degree in photography, film production, or a closely related field.
• Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, educational excellence, and mentoring undergraduate students.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must live in or be able to commute to the Las Vegas/Henderson, NV area for in‑person classes.

• Demonstrated commitment to active learning and innovative teaching.
• Previous teaching experience.
