Part - Time Instructor, Welding Technology - FY

Position Overview

Part‑time Welding Technology Instructor (Full‑Time Equivalent 47.5%). Exempt:
Yes.

• Deliver lecture and lab instruction for Welding Technology courses.
• Demonstrate and assist students with lab procedures and enforce safety precautions.
• Develop syllabi and course materials aligned to curriculum standards.
• Assess student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
• Provide instruction and advisement that meets diverse learning needs.
• Participate in staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested.

• Minimum 5 years of work‑related experience in welding technology.
• Preferred certifications: CWE, CWI, SCWI, NDT, NCCER Instructor Credentials, OSHA 10 or 30.
• Welding Technology degree or equivalent.
• One year equivalent full‑time teaching experience.
• Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body.
• Proficiency with computer classroom technologies and learning management systems such as Canvas.

Courses taught in‑person at the CSN Henderson Campus during daytime, evenings, and weekends.

$925.00 per lecture credit hour (credits vary by semester).
