Job Description

Nevada State University actively maintains an open pool of qualified individuals to be selected on an as-needed basis by the department to fulfil part-time temporary instructional needs and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Nevada State invites applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty for in-person, online or hybrid courses in Early Childhood Education.

Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined bycourse availability.

Adjunct faculty members are compensated at the rate of $1,160 percredit hour. Courses range from 1-3 credits.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or Education.
  • Minimum of three (3) years full-time experience teaching children, birth through 2nd grade.
  • Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, educational excellence, and mentoring undergraduate students.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and technology skills.
  • Commitment to active learning and teaching strategies.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship(Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Early Childhood Education or Education.
  • Previous teaching experience with undergraduate students.
  • Relevant experience in birth through 2nd grade settings.
  • Experience in web-based coursework.
  • Demonstrated commitment to active learning and innovative teaching.
