What to Expect
Tesla is looking for an experienced and dynamic Utility O&M Service Coordinator to join our Utility Scale Stationary Battery Systems team. The primary job is to create daily schedules for technicians, coordinate site outage activities, arrange special equipment needs for sites, and support Field Managers for successful service of our growing fleet. Applicants should be reliable multi‑taskers who have what it takes to accelerate the world towards a more sustainable future.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Plan and prioritize utility maintenance activities with Regional Field Managers, using real‑time report dashboards
- Work with scheduling tools to ensure Utility Field Service Technician schedules are accurate and up to date for technicians across North America
- Create and schedule preventative maintenance activities based on contract obligation. Administration of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Work with the territory field service managers to ensure service level objectives are met
- Continuously improve and optimize planning of operations and maintenance activities
- Arrange rental equipment and purchasing required for service work. Assist with parts and tooling inventories
- Work with different departments to share resources across regional sites and optimize personnel utilization. Perform other related duties as assigned
- Technical degree, or equivalent experience
- Experience in maintenance planning or project management
- Preferred background in utility substation equipment, energy storage, commercial solar or wind generation
- Strong computer skills. Comfort with Microsoft Office and cloud‑based computing programs
- Evidence of strong organizational skill and a proven track record
- Ability to multi‑task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast‑paced environment
- Must be reliable, have a good initiative, committed, and quality focused
