About the Role

We are seeking a Tooling and Fabricated Products Lead to join our team based in Henderson.

In this role, you will provide specialist engineering support across tooling design, fabricated products, and mechanical handling equipment that support complex project and production environments.

This is a senior, hands‑on engineering role with end‑to‑end accountability for the tooling lifecycle, from design and commissioning through to maintenance and eventual decommissioning. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external fabricators, and supply chain partners to ensure tooling and fabricated solutions are safe, compliant, fit‑for‑purpose, and delivered efficiently.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Manage the full life cycle of buoyancy tooling, from design and commissioning through to maintenance and decommissioning
  • Lead the selection, implementation, and optimisation of mechanical handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations in project operations
  • Manage external fabrication processes and collaborate with third party providers to ensure quality machining and tooling desig
  • Assist with the assessment and selection of suitable design and manufacturing approaches
  • Provide technical assistance to the procurement process, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management, to ensure timely and cost‑effective acquisition of project resources
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to optimise logistics and streamline the flow of materials
  • Drive process and tooling design for the production plant in line with engineering standards, regulatory, HSE, and risk management requirements
  • Identify safety and quality risks and work with stakeholders to eliminate or effectively control risks
  • Serve as backup support for offshore installation. This may involve travel to offshore locations as needed to oversee and troubleshoot installation processes
Desired Skills and Experience

About You

To play a part in our continued expansion and success, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in tooling, fabrication, and manufacturing environments. You’ll bring a practical, solutions‑focused mindset and are comfortable working across design, suppliers, and operations to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

You will have:

  • At least 8 years’ experience in the design, development, and verification of mechanical components and sub‑assemblies within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using solid modelling program such as Solid Works or Inventor
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across cross‑functional teams
  • Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, organisational, and problem‑solving skills
  • A proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Experience with AutoCAD will be highly regarded.
