Electrical Engineering
Your next move in battery engineering is designing the systems that power industrial, medical, defense, and energy applications, from 12V to 1500V DC. This is a hands‑on, full-lifecycle role where you own BMS design, PCBA layout, and production support in a facility that ships custom solutions to OEMs who cannot afford failure.
Pave Talent is hiring on behalf of our client, a vertically integrated battery manufacturer headquartered in Henderson, Nevada. This is a $100M+ revenue company with two production facilities, over 200 employees, and a growing order book across three business units covering industrial power, energy storage, and medical devices. Most products are manufactured in the US, keeping supply chain risk low and turnaround fast.
WHYTHIS COMPANY
The battery industry is splitting into two camps: companies chasing EV scale and companies solving the harder problem of custom, high‑reliability packs for applications where failure is not an option. This company chose the second path. They build lithium iron phosphate and lithium‑ion cells, modules, and packs for industries where "off the shelf" does not exist. Oil and gas, defibrillators, marine vessels, rail, home energy storage.
Every pack is engineered to spec.
The engineering team is being rebuilt under a leader who values accountability, loyalty, and technical depth. The previous structure created silos. The new direction is collaborative, high‑expectation, and supportive for people who do the work. If you want a place where your contributions are visible and your manager will go to bat for you, this is that environment.
THE OPPORTUNITYYou will report to the engineering group leader and join a team of approximately five engineers within a broader group of 10-12 including quality and product managers. This is a replacement hire for a retiring engineer, so you are stepping into a defined seat with real project ownership from day one.
The role is heavily hands‑on. Expect a mix of R&D, design, manufacturing support, and production floor time. You will work on new product development and support existing products across the full voltage range.
WHAT YOU'LL BUILD- Design and develop battery pack electrical systems from 12V to 1500V DC, focusing on safety, reliability, and manufacturability
- Own BMS design, development, and ongoing support across multiple product lines
- Create PCBA layouts using Altium Designer or Cadence OrCAD
- Perform FMEA on circuits and support failure analysis on battery modules, packs, and electrical systems
- Collaborate across mechanical, quality, and production teams on new product design and manufacture
- Participate in hardware design reviews and validation testing
- Debug electronics using oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and logic analyzers
- Support quality team with corrective actions and root cause analysis
This is not a desk‑only engineering role. You will be on the production floor regularly. The company is rebuilding team cohesion after a period of siloed leadership, so the culture is in active improvement mode. The hiring manager runs a high‑accountability, high‑empathy environment. They expect hard work, reward loyalty, and will advocate strongly for people they trust. If you thrive in structured, no‑nonsense teams where results matter, you will do well here.
