Senior Surveyor

Job Description Overview

We are seeking a Senior Surveyor to join our Henderson and Reno, Nevada Surveying and Geodesy Group.

• Coordinate field surveying activities between the field and the office.
• Research or direct research of legal records to identify previous boundaries.
• Prepare or supervise the preparation of survey drawings, plats, maps and reports, including ALTA surveys.
• Produce and/or correct topographic survey drawings, traverse and level network adjustments.
• Write legal descriptions.
• Utilize CAD software to produce or adjust survey drawings, plats and parcel maps.
• Recommend solutions to resolve deed conflicts, field problems and geometric errors and discrepancies.
• Coordinate field work with survey crew and others as required.
• Occasionally travel to field sites and perform field work as required by project.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the supervisor.

• Bachelor's degree plus two years related experience, or associate's degree in a related technical field plus ten years related experience, or high school diploma (or equivalent) plus twelve years related experience.
• Good technical writing, computer and communication skills.
• Strong math and trigonometry computation skills.
• Good knowledge of CAD and survey software.
• Basic knowledge of GPS.
• Familiarity with industry standard database software.
• RLS/PLS certification required.

Expected compensation range is between $80,000 and $130,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
