Civil Engineering Intern – Summer

Job Description Overview AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Henderson, NV office.

• Assist with the preparation and organization of engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Support engineering investigations and planning activities by collecting data, performing basic analyses, completing routine calculations, and helping evaluate potential solutions using established procedures.
• Contribute to the development of technical reports by preparing assigned sections, compiling information, and incorporating feedback from supervisors.
• Assist with project and construction-related activities, including reviewing shop drawings for general compliance, maintaining project records, tracking progress, observing construction operations, and supporting quality control efforts.
• Gather and analyze project data related to design alternatives, site conditions, and applicable regulations to support engineering evaluations and recommendations.
• Help prepare reports, presentations, permit application materials, and other project documents by researching information, drafting content, and creating basic graphics and supporting materials.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under supervision, using standard engineering methods and tools.

No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.

Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D (preferred)

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
