Responsibilities
The Facility Controller supports the hospital market CFO by ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of financial information for assigned facilities. The role is structured toward development and matriculation into a future executive financial leadership role, providing opportunity to learn and train in aspects of revenue cycle, expense management, business development, and operational budgeting.
Additional Essential Duties- Assist CFOs in annual operational budget preparation for market entities.
- Prepare and conduct departmental Monthly Operating Reviews.
- Conduct monthly financial statement and operational reviews to ensure accuracy and integrity, achieving completeness and standardization.
- Manage revenue cycle activities including net revenue tracking, CDM development, daily reconciliations, payer reimbursement analysis, contractual discounts, DNFB/Unbilled analysis, and cash collection.
- Participate in business development by preparing pro formas and completing look‑backs to assess investment outcomes.
- Lead special projects assigned by the Market CFO, including changes in financial reporting requirements, acquisitions, dispositions, and other requests.
- Minimum five years of progressive experience in a financial capacity at a health care facility.
- Experience working with Medical Records (HIM), Business Office, Materials Management, and Accounting departments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Computer hardware and software skills required.
- Bachelor’s degree required; CPA preferred.
