Location

Las Vegas, NV (Henderson area) – Hybrid/Flexible Schedule

Compensation

$110,000 – $150,000+ Base Salary (DOE) plus a significant bonus structure. Salary range: $125,000 – $150,000 per year.

Job Overview

First in‑house Controller for a boutique advisory firm that closes deals for leading Private Equity firms. The role requires a hands‑on financial leader who will automate systems, build a scalable finance function from the ground up, and grow into the firm’s future CFO.

Responsibilities
  • Build the Foundation: Own all core accounting functions (A/P, A/R, payroll, reconciliations, month‑end close) and professionalize processes currently fragmented across an outsourced bookkeeper and CPA.
  • Lead a Critical Systems Migration: Evaluate, select, and implement a new ERP system, leading the firm’s migration away from Quick Books.
  • Deliver Strategic Reporting: Design and build sophisticated P&L reports by profit center (per client/mandate), tracking profitability, cost‑to‑search, and ROI for 30‑50 concurrent deals.
  • Manage Complex Compensation: Own, track, and manage the firm’s deal‑based bonus and incentive spreadsheets to ensure 100% accuracy with payroll.
  • Oversee Deal‑Specific Entities: Manage creation of new LLCs, maintain all cap tables, and administer co‑investment vehicles (capital calls and distributions).
  • Serve as Finance Point‑of‑Contact: Monitor bank accounts for high‑value deal closings and manage all multi‑state tax and compliance matters.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience at a managerial level.
  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
  • Experience in private equity or investment advisory environments preferred.
