Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures. This position acts as a resource for Medical Laboratory Technicians and Lab Assistants and supports the Lead Medical Technologist.
ResponsibilitiesAs a per diem medical laboratory technologist, you will cover all modalities as needed, provide high quality patient care, maintain accurate documentation, and assist team members with laboratory tasks and troubleshooting.
Qualifications- Education: BSMT(ASCP) or equivalent as defined by CLIA'88.
- Experience: Three (3) years as a Medical Technologist is preferred.

Skills:
General bench tech skills required to provide coverage in all modalities. - License/Certification: Nevada State Licensure as Clinical Laboratory Technologist. ASCP or equivalent board registration/education required to satisfy Nevada License requirements must be maintained.
- Certification Timeline: New CLS graduates must receive certification within 6 months of hire. New graduates or applicants who do not currently have a Nevada license must obtain a Nevada state provisional license prior to hire and must obtain a permanent license upon expiration of the provisional license.
- Other: Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality patient care, people skills, organization, attention to detail, and willingness to act as a resource and provide assistance as required.
