JOB SUMMARYThe Yoga Instructor is responsible for designing and implementing group yoga classes, performing a mild to moderate session that leads students through exercises that help improve strength, flexibility, and balance. Assists all guests with proper techniques and mind-body yoga connection, providing motivation to ensure achievement of personal wellness goals. Effectively communicates with guests to understand their needs and areas of concern, while maintaining a high level of customer service standards.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
- Adhere to TRILOGY’s “Flawless Service, Every Guest, Every Day” philosophy and Spa policy and procedures.
- Anticipate guest needs and uphold Spa and TRILOGY’s service standards for guest service, including FORBES 5 Star criteria.
- Interact cooperatively and professionally with guests and spa team, demonstrating respect, sensitivity, and attentiveness, following all company guidelines.
- Maintain knowledge of all group fitness classes and programs.
- Comply with and maintain safety, sanitation, and disinfection standards, properly cleaning and sanitizing products, rooms, tools and equipment, following TRILOGY and State Governing Boards requirements and guidelines.
- Ensure fitness area lighting and music levels are correctly set and maintained.
- Ensure guests practice safety during exercise sessions.
- Ensure guests’ safety in wet areas by removing standing water and reporting unsafe equipment.
- Understand emergency procedures and accident prevention policies.
- Provide guests with a tour of the spa facility, as needed.
- Communicate guest complaints or any maintenance issues to Spa Management.
- Attend mandatory vendor and company training sessions, as scheduled by Spa Management.
- Must have Registered Yoga Teacher 200 or 500 through Yoga Alliance or equivalent.
- Must have 2-3 years of continuous Yoga teaching experience, preferred.
- Experience with Hatha or Vinyasa yoga is preferred, as well as a focus on Meditation.
- Ideally, familiar with the local market, have a following, and be proficient at utilizing social media to market themselves and their classes.
- Must be polished, professional, and have a strong command of both written and verbal English.
- CPR and First Aid certified.
