Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements within the area of responsibility and reports potential issues to management.
- Manages all pool rentals, including rafts, tubes, and lockers.
- Maintains inventory of lost and found items.
- Ensures the overall safety of guests in the pool area.
- Maintains supplies and orders inventory as needed.
- Provides daily rotations and break schedules as necessary.
- Acts as the communications center for guest calls, management, auxiliary departments, and pool staff.
- Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- One year of experience in customer service or a pool setting is preferred.
- Flexible to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
- Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail under time constraints.
- Effective listening abilities, strong judgment, good public relations skills, and a friendly personality.
- Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to manage guests, management, vendors, and employees under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to withstand extreme sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather for long periods throughout the day.
- Basic computer and software proficiency.
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules and operating instructions; read, verbal, and written communication skills in English are required.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certifications, Licenses, RegistrationsEmployee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
Physical DemandsThe job requires standing, lifting up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, occasionally up to 100 pounds, and the ability to push or pull up to 150 pounds, with frequent reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, stacking, crouching, kneeling, and balancing in varied work areas.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes moderate to loud noise levels and potential exposure to second‑hand tobacco smoke.
