Responsibilities
  • Familiar with the Life Saving Behaviors (LSB).
  • Familiar with, communicates, and enforces Company and Plant ISO, SQF, GMP, and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Manage all department employees, including approving or denying vacation requests, time card verification, monitoring attendance, and issuing disciplinary action if necessary; conduct accident investigations and assign daily work.
  • Responsible for new employee instructions assigned to your shift.
  • Supervise, oversee and direct all techs, team leaders, and machine operators in daily performance related to productivity, quality, housekeeping and safety.
  • Oversee production rate of skilled labor to monitor workflow, efficiency and quality.
  • Track and direct all parts manufactured as needed for work orders.
  • Consistently evaluate/document personnel performance as needed.
  • Accurate production reporting (WebEFF) and timekeeping (Kronos).
  • Conduct all counseling, written warnings, suspensions and discharges for warranted violations of plant rules.
  • Work with Human Resources to review unique situations and termination paperwork prior to issuing paperwork to an employee.
  • Responsible for training assignments of new associates, evaluate progress during 90‑day probationary period, and recommend discharge or retention.
  • Direct work assignments and ensure efficient labor utilization.
  • Drive improvements in production efficiency and MEEF.
  • Responsible for accident reporting in the event of an injury, including investigating the accident, interviewing witnesses, and ensuring medical treatment for the injured employee.
  • Ensure that all hours worked by associates are accurate in the attendance system and verify all time cards.
  • Issue corrective action notifications for program areas failing to meet quality/delivery expectations.
  • Manage housekeeping of the entire production area.
  • Supervise production activities and provide direction and support for the shift.
  • Resolve issues with employees.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Authorities
    • Production Supervisors have the authority to report concerns that could affect these requirements or suggest areas for improvement.
    • Disciplinary actions within scope as required.
    Qualifications
    • Read and write English; understand spreadsheets.
    • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
    • Analytical ability.
    • Ability to work as a cross‑functional team member.
    • Self‑motivated, able to work and deliver results in a fast paced, performance driven environment.
    • HS Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
    • 3+ years' experience in a leadership position with proven ability to deliver desired results.
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to motivate employees.
    • Strong technical, business, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to plan and organize daily activities, analyze data and adapt to changes and challenges in the business.
    • Knowledge of molding operations and company procedures.
    • Effective written and verbal communication.
    • Good software skills (Word, Excel, CPRO, WebEFF, etc.).
