Responsibilities

  • Familiar with the Life Saving Behaviors (LSB).
  • Familiar with, communicates, and enforces Company and Plant ISO, SQF, GMP, and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Manage all department employees, including but not limited to: approve or deny vacation requests, time card verification, monitor attendance and complete and issue disciplinary action if necessary, accident investigation and assigning daily work assignments.
  • Responsible for new employee instructions assigned to your respective shift.
  • Responsible for supervising, overseeing and directing all techs, team leaders, and machine operators in their daily performance of job duties as it pertains to their productivity, quality of product manufactured, housekeeping and safety.
  • Oversee production rate of skilled labor to monitor workflow, efficiency and quality.
  • Track and direct all parts manufactured as needed for work orders.
  • Consistently evaluating / documenting personnel performance as needed.
  • Accurate production reporting (WebEFF) and timekeeping (Kronos).
  • Conduct all counseling and written warnings, suspensions and discharges for warranted violations of plant rules.
  • Work with Human Resources to review unique situations and termination paperwork prior to discussing or issuing paperwork to an employee.
  • Responsible for training assignments of new associates, evaluate progress during 90-day probationary period, recommends discharge or retention.
  • Direct work assignments and ensure efficient labor utilization.
  • Drive improvements in production efficiency and MEEF.
  • Responsible for in the event of an injury, for preparing all accidents reports by thoroughly investigating the accident. Interview all witnesses and see that the injured employee receives medical treatment.
  • Ensure that all hours worked by associates are accurate in the attendance system and verify all time cards of all hourly associates working on their shift.
  • Responsible for issuing corrective action notifications for program areas failing to meet the quality / delivery expectations.
  • Managing housekeeping of entire production area.
  • Supervise production activities and provide direction and support shift.
  • Resolve issues with employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Authorities

Production Supervisors have the authority to report concerns that could affect these requirements or suggest areas for improvement. Disciplinary actions.

Qualifications

Read and write English;
Understand spreadsheets. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication). Analytical ability. Ability to work as a cross-functional team member. Self-motivated, displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast paced, performance driven environment. HS Diploma or equivalent combination of education/experience. Some college preferred. 3+ years  experience in leadership position with proven ability to deliver desired results. Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to motivate employees.

Strong technical, business, and organizational skills. Able to plan and organize daily activities, analyze data and react to changes and challenges in the business. Knowledge of molding operations and company procedures. Able to communicate effectively both written and verbal. Good software skills (Word, Excel, CPRO, WebEFF, etc.).
