Summary
Reporting to the Quality Engineer, the Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all materials and products meet our strict quality, safety, and compliance standards in accordance with regulatory requirements. This role involves conducting thorough inspections, identifying deviations, and working collaboratively with other departments to uphold production excellence.

- Inspect and verify incoming parts and materials for conformance to required specifications they are free from defects, damage, or deviations from production standards.
- Utilize appropriate tools and established procedures to test the durability and integrity of parts and products.
- Document and report quality issues, working proactively to recommend and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality concerns and enhance processes.
- Maintain comprehensive inspection records and ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and cross‑training initiatives to develop expertise in different quality control functions.
- Support material sorting, reworks, audits, investigation and MRB activities.
- Escalate part, product or process abnormalities to the designated quality engineer/manager.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall production quality objectives.
Physical Requirements
This role operates within a manufacturing environment and requires the following:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a workstation or standing during inspection tasks.
- Repetitive hand and wrist motions while handling small parts, tools, and testing equipment.
- Fine motor skills for precision inspection and accurate product handling.
- Frequent reaching, grasping, pushing, or pulling of materials.
- Ability to lift and carry battery components, tools, or assembled units weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Standing, bending, or kneeling to access equipment and perform inspections at various heights and angles.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and potential contact with battery chemicals or other materials used in production.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and lab coats, in compliance with safety protocols.
