Job Overview
Responsible for operating forklifts, loading/unloading freight, performing inspections and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and GMP standards in a high‑temperature, non‑climate‑controlled warehouse environment.
Responsibilities- Report to frontline leadership and collaborate with team members to achieve plant and departmental goals.
- Perform daily inspections on forklift and trailer inspections before loading & unloading.
- Wrap pallets with shrink‑wrap machine, scan pallets when required, and prepare sundry orders for shipping.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight as assigned.
- Safely transport, store, and retrieve all product, raw materials, and other items to/from racks and designated locations using a scanner for traceability.
- Practice First In, First Out product movement and utilize all bar‑coding equipment to identify and transfer product.
- Be cross‑trained in the processing of UPS orders and physically off‑load packages up to 35lbs.
- Pick orders for shipment, perform housekeeping duties, maintain lot‑control traceability, and manage non‑conforming product.
- Uphold safety absolut, ISO standards, SOPs, and work instructions; maintain a clean, healthy, and safe workplace.
- Conduct required safety reviews of equipment and processes prior to startup.
- Support work‑group accomplishment through quality, timeliness, and professionalism.
- Provide accurate and timely data for performance tracking and reporting.
- Apply resources effectively while ensuring quality; maintain an environment that supports GMP compliance.
- Adhere to established procedures, perform self‑checking, and pay attention to detail.
- Notify management promptly of procedural or quality problems and propose improvements.
- Oversee work to ensure projects are completed.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting; capable of lifting up to 35lbs periodically.
- Experience operating a forklift and walkie rider; minimum six months forklift driving experience.
- Ability to work in a non‑climate‑controlled warehouse with temperatures exceeding 102°F in summer and freezing temperatures in winter.
- Proficient reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Compliance with all safety requirements, including use of PPE such as bump cap/Hhat, safety eyewear, safety shoes, hearing protection, and disposable mask.
- Maintain attendance record within company guidelines and willingness to work required overtime.
- High‑school graduate or equivalent.
- Negative drug‑screen results.
- Previous experience in material handling or shipping/receiving is preferred.
- Contribution to safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
