CNC Operator 2 Salary Range: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour.

Position OverviewOperator 2 operates CNC or manual machines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Follow safety requirements within the department.
- Access and understand daily and weekly schedules.
- Find, read and follow work instructions displayed electronically (iPad).
- Read and understand blueprints relative to the parts being produced.
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify part integrity.
- Load and unload parts correctly.
- Change and set tools.
- Make simple machine adjustments to maintain part integrity.
- Operate powered and non-powered material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jack, cranes, and mobile straddle‑stocker lifts.
- Report any damage to a supervisor or manager.
- Follow instructions and procedures, escalating any issues impacting workflow or quality.
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and adherence to rules, procedures and policies.
This job does not have any supervisory activities.
QualificationsEducation
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required, plus 1–3 months of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Years of Experience
3–5 years in a similar role.
Language Skills
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and safety rules in English.
Mathematical and Reasoning Skills
Add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rates, ratios, percent, and interpret graphs. Apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
Physical activities include sitting (frequently), occasionally standing and walking, frequently bending (neck, waist), frequently squatting, frequently twisting (neck, waist), frequently climbing, kneeling, crawling, reaching (above/below shoulder level) – all frequently. Hand use involves repetitive use, power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling – all frequently.
Lifting Requirements
0–10 lbs. (frequently), 11–25 lbs. (frequently), 26–50 lbs. (frequently), 51–60 lbs. (occasionally), 61+ lbs. (occasionally).
Equipment Use
Computer use including monitor, keyboard, mouse, trackball, touchpad, etc., occasionally.
Work Environment
Noise Level: Loud. The position operates in a general office or engineering lab environment (never), constantly around machining or the production floor, frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration, occasionally exposed to hazardous chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, frequently exposed to outside weather conditions (extreme cold or extreme heat), rarely exposed to risk of electrical shock.
