Position Overview

As the Director, International Business Development, this role will work closely with the SVP of Marketing and each International Business Lead on all growth efforts, collaborating to partner with sponsors, media outlets, other sports teams, brands within the Raiders ownership group portfolio, and broadcast affiliates. The role is responsible for identifying, soliciting, qualifying, targeting, and converting new international business opportunities in Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Australia and New Zealand.

It will support the achievement of the organization's financial goals, partner with businesses that share similar values, and deliver experiences that build long‑term brand loyalty.

Essential Job Functions
  • Identify blue‑ocean opportunities across categories within international markets to inform growth strategy and develop a plan to engage high‑value targets.
  • Collaborate with regional team members, internal stakeholders, and external partners to develop integrated, multi‑platform campaigns that generate media value.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams including International Business Leads, Raider Image, Corporate Partners and Revenue Planning & Analytics to ensure flawless strategy and execution of media activations and collaborations.
  • Collaborate with the Partnership team and Raider Image once new international business opportunities for potential partnership deals have been identified and qualified.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to determine opportunities and threats, adapting strategies as needed.
  • Work closely with local NFL offices and NFL Business Development to align objectives, targets, and source opportunities to grow the brand in each market.
  • Coordinate each partnership opportunity by working closely with Marketing and Creative to execute any media activations and partnerships in‑market, including obtaining artwork approvals as needed.
  • Partner with retail and marketing teams to activate influencer and creator integrations that drive product visibility and audience engagement.
  • Coordinate with local broadcast, streaming and content platforms to deliver shoulder programming, pre‑season games and on‑demand content that is relevant and timely for each international market.
  • Collaborate with key executives and cross‑functional partners across the organization to fully understand the mechanics of the business and the NFL to build strong narratives and points of view that can be positioned locally by country.
  • Build strategic relationships with business and local media outlets and influencers that will lead to positive media coverage.
  • Use data and knowledge of the earned media landscape to develop creative approaches to reach key audiences.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Marketing, Business or Sales, preferably within the entertainment or sports industries.
  • Bilingual written and verbal communication skills are preferred.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, ability to foster meaningful professional relationships both internally and externally.
  • Must be collaborative, flexible, and capable of working across various business groups within the organization.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle a complex and evolving workload in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work flexibly across departments in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑starter with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, generate ideas and move them forward independently.
  • Experience crafting business cases and strategic recommendations based on both quantitative and qualitative inputs with strategic and financial rigor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of the earned media landscape.
  • Proven leadership and ability to influence and work with senior leadership and multi‑disciplined teams.
  • Ability to work extended hours and flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
Physical Aspects of Position (includes but is not limited to)
  • Sitting for long periods of time throughout shift.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional walking, standing, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling.
