Locum Jobs Online  is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Family Practice NP in Las Vegas, Nevada, 89044!

An established healthcare organization in Las Vegas is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP/APRN) to provide comprehensive patient care across Pain Management, Primary Care, Urgent Care, and Ambulatory Surgery Center settings.

This position offers an opportunity to work alongside experienced physicians and clinical staff while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical assessment skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities Clinical Care
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, medical histories, and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, and medical equipment within scope of practice
  • Order, perform, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing
  • Evaluate patient response to treatment and modify care plans as needed
  • Provide pain management evaluations and follow-up care
  • Perform office-based procedures as permitted by training and credentialing
  • Deliver urgent care services for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient management
Surgery Center Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-operative evaluations and patient assessments
  • Review patient histories, medications, allergies, and diagnostic results
  • Assist in ensuring procedural readiness
  • Participate in post-operative evaluations and discharge planning
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare, Medicaid, and state regulations
  • Complete coding and billing documentation accurately
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and accreditation activities
Patient Education
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans
  • Provide counseling on medications, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications
  • Promote treatment adherence and disease prevention strategies
Collaboration
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and surgery center staff
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case reviews
  • Coordinate care with specialists, referral sources, pharmacies, and healthcare facilities
Working Hours
  • Monday through Friday
  • Occasional Saturdays as needed
  • Schedule may vary based on clinic volume and operational needs

Requirements Required
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Active Nevada APRN License in good standing
  • National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Current BLS Certification
  • DEA Registration and Nevada Controlled Substance Registration (if applicable)
  • Strong EMR proficiency
Preferred
  • ACLS Certification
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience
  • Experience in Pain Management, Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Surgery Center settings
  • Knowledge of AAAHC accreditation standards
