+ ASSESSMENT:
The registered nurse completes initial patient assessment and reassessments as indicated by patient condition, and assures practices comply with human resources, policies/procedures, and professional standards.

+ CRITICAL THINKING:
The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking by implementing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) and using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems, and assures practices comply with human resources, policies/procedures, and professional standards.

+ PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
The registered nurse has the physical ability to safely and effectively care for patient population assigned and assures practices comply with human resources, policies/procedures, and professional standards.

+ MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION:
The registered nurse manages medication administration and intravenous (IV) access according to physician's orders and assures practices comply with human resources, policies/procedures, and professional standards.

+ COMMUNICATION:

+ PATIENT SAFETY:

+ QUALITY OF PRACTICE:

* + Technical/Vocational school graduate of an accredited school of nursing

+  One (1) year experience as an RN in an acute care setting or successful completion of applicable clinical and didactic SRDH specialty training course(s) or program.

+ Registered Nurse: NV

+ Basic Life Support - CPR

+ NIHSS = NIH Stroke-AM Stroke ASC
- Nat'l at hire/transfer

+ Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for Common Spirit Health compliance requirements
