Job Description
GHR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ED – Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Henderson, North Carolina.
Specialty: ED – Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Employment Type: Travel Shift: 12 hours (night shift, 19:00 – 07:00)
Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,640 – $1,730 Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts in a 6‑week period
Build in a 1:4 patient ratio and surge to 1:5
Provide high‑quality, compassionate care to diverse patients (geriatric, adult, pediatric). Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast‑paced ED environment. Respond to emergencies and provide critical interventions for trauma, stroke, sepsis, and STEMI. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes (ED teamwork). Document patient care using the Paragon EHR system. Maintain compliance with hospital policies and Joint Commission standards.
QualificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of practice). Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience (ED RN / ER RN). Experience with peripheral IVs; stroke, sepsis, and STEMI protocols preferred. Comfortable working in a high‑paced, high‑acuity, rural emergency department. Able to float to other units as needed. Scrub colors: black, navy, or royal blue. Travel assignment requirement: must live 60+ miles from facility to qualify.
