Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Cardiovascular Surgery, you will deliver compassionate, high‑quality care that impacts patients’ well‑being and recovery. Every day you will provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You will collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

This position is represented by CNA and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

• Complete initial patient assessment and reassessments as indicated.
• Implement the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation), using critical thinking to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
• Ensure the physical ability to safely and effectively care for the assigned patient population.
• Manage medication administration and intravenous (IV) access according to physician’s orders.
• Communicate effectively to promote patient‑ and family‑centered care, interacting with patients, families, and the care‑delivery team in verbal and written form.

• One (1) year of general operating room experience as an RN or hospital‑approved peri‑operative course (experience in an ASC with comparable acuity or complexity may be considered).
• Technical School Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse (NV).
• American Heart Association certifications:
• Basic Life Support – CPR
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• Quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post‑hire (ongoing competency required through internal resources).

• Two (2) years of operating room experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Certified Nurse Operating Room.

$51.71 – $71.72 per hour
