Position: REGISTERED NURSE, Emergency Dept @ the NORTH VALLEYS FED, Full Time Nights*$10,000 SIGN ON BONUS*

Job Summary

ER Registered Nurse opportunity is full‑time (36 hours per week) with a flexible night‑shift schedule. The role includes full benefits and a dynamic work environment where the nurse provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department, coordinates care planning with other disciplines, and delivers comprehensive psychosocial, physical, and general patient care.

Responsibilities

Effective triage and timely assessment of patients across all age groups, prioritization of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, and clear communication with ED physicians regarding patient status and diagnostic results. Rapid response to changes in patient condition or treatment outcomes is expected.

Duties
  • Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, consult with other specialists as required, and adjust nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Perform a head‑to‑toe assessment on all patients, including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients, with subsequent reassessments as per policy.
  • Utilize the triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care, accurately assigning triage categories.
  • Monitor hemodynamic status of patients and correctly interpret results.
  • Assess and reassess pain, employ appropriate pain‑management techniques, and educate patients and families regarding pain management.
Qualifications
  • Current NV RN License.
  • Two to three years of experience in the emergency department preferred or equivalent.
  • Two to three years of critical care experience preferred or equivalent.
  • Extensive EMS background experience.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Current ACLS Certification (within 6 months of hire).
  • Current PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire).
