We are currently looking to hire a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team at A Cat Hospital in Henderson, Nevada. The ideal candidate is dependable, skilled and able to support both patient care and team workflow effectively.
- Salary: $26.00 - 29.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
- Schedule: Full-time, 8- or 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday. Opening on Saturdays in 2026.
- Location: 2758 N Green Valley Pkwy, Henderson, NV 89014
- Additional Benefits: Full-time, qualified LVTs get annual continuing education funds and license reimbursement.
A Cat Hospital provides exams, laboratory testing, radiology, surgery, and boarding. We have a long history with many of our clients, and we pride ourselves on the relationships we have built with our clients. We are expanding our business into dogs in 2026.
Who You Are- Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Nevada, or eligible to transfer/obtain license within 3 months of hire
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as a credentialed veterinary technician required
- Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred, but not required
- Assist veterinarians in the examination and treatment of cats and dogs
- Maintain medical records and prepare reports for veterinarians
- Able to calculate and administer medications
- Provide surgical support and monitor anesthesia on feline and canine patients, including high-risk, medically complex felines
- Comfortable with "spicy" kitties and able to remain calm with fractious cats
- Skilled in performing dental radiographs and dental prophylaxis
- Advanced, safe handling and positioning for digital radiographs
- Perform ultrasound guided cystocentesis and place urinary catheters
- Utilize and maintain in-house laboratory equipment (Idexx/Vet Scan)
- Able to utilize veterinary medical record management software
- Provides outstanding customer service and time management skills
- Is respectful of all team members
- Communicate clearly with clients, doctors, and all staff members
