Quality Assurance Inspector

Responsibilities

• Understand and practice Safety Absolutes and Safety policies.
• Use proper lifting when spot‑checking inventory.
• Get help if needed.
• Communicate quality issues discovered to the other shifts verbally and by email.
• Fill out the Quality Assurance Daily Reports and verify all information on the traveler.
• Check colors using the densitometer, color chips, drawdowns, Chroma QA, and Pantone.
• Verify bar code scans and Chroma QA readings when applicable.
• Perform required testing where applicable.
• Notify Tech and QA Manager of defects, size problems or color variances in print found on product using the NCMR database.
• Watch and accept samples being run on the production floor.
• Clarify acceptable quality standards for packers.
• Route all papers to be filed into appropriate folders or files and verify tri folders.
• Update, approve, and / or create new folders when applicable.
• Check for coining of lids, nest / detesting of containers before, during and after packaging.
• Perform any special tasks assigned by Manager.
• Disposition non‑conforming product as authorized.
• Validate and verify all aspects of quality for the shift.

• Capable of performing each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Familiarity with the JDE system and DSI functions.
