Position: (USA) Member Specialist

Position Summary

As a Member Frontline Service Associate, you will maintain a clean, organized, and secure store environment while providing exceptional customer service. Your role includes handling returns, managing merchandise displays, assisting members with purchases, using self‑checkout technology, training new associates, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain area of responsibility in accordance with company policies by properly handling returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
  • Provide member service by maintaining exit areas, reviewing member receipts, acknowledging members and identifying member needs, and assisting members with purchasing decisions and locating merchandise.
  • Maintain the self‑checkout area, resolve member issues and concerns, promote Sam's Club products and services, provide guidance and support for self‑service technology, process member purchases, and handle payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with securing and safeguarding Sam's Club assets and property by observing and communicating potential criminal activity, maintaining paperwork, logs, and documentation, executing emergency response procedures, and ensuring compliance with security and safety practices.
  • Assist with training Member Frontline Service associates on company processes and procedures; teach new technology and tool functionality; deliver new program rollout training; and provide continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to change, difficulties, and feedback.
Compensation

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.

Qualifications
  • Retail experience, including operating front‑end equipment (e.g., cash register).
  • Experience working with mobile retail applications.
