Retail Sales Associate - Part Time

Hourly wage $12.00 to $15.00 per hour plus commission of up to 8% on transactions.

Earned Wage Access is available from the second day, allowing employees to withdraw up to 50% of earned wages up to seven times per payroll cycle.

We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time sales associates in pawn store locations nationwide. The role involves working with the store team to provide customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. Associates greet, engage, and assist customers with sales, loans, and other transactions, dealing with jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

Pay includes a base hourly wage plus commission based on productivity, which varies by location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greet and interact with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain display of merchandise.
• Perform sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle all cash and negotiable items in accordance with company policies.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective tools.
• Partner with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully complete assigned training.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties requiring extended standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible to work a retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.
