POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Sales Associate supports Management in promoting a customer‑ and product‑focused sales culture, ensuring a great customer experience and maximizing profitability. They uphold core values in all store operations.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES- Drive for Results
- Meet company sales goals through effective sales techniques and product knowledge.
- Recommend merchandise selections or help locate/obtain merchandise based on customer needs.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions; uphold pricing and visual standards.
- Maintain standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as directed.
- Participate in visual directives including monthly store sets and zone maintenance.
- Customer Experience
- Model MAPS principles and provide a cohesive omni‑channel experience.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly.
- Ensure a fast and efficient register experience and stay current on payment, coupon, return, exchange, and security policies.
- Reinforce buying decisions at checkout and achieve add‑on goals including gift‑card sales.
- Enroll clients in reward program.
- Build and maintain a solid customer following through clienteling and wardrobe management.
- Stay informed on product fit and style assortment in store and online.
- Maintain consistent client communication through customer book usage.
- Operational Excellence
- Support replenishment activities to keep the store stocked.
- Assist with locating fulfillment.
- Assist with visual directives such as floor sets, window changes, signage placement, etc.
- Assist with boutique cleanliness and organization.
- Teamwork and Growth
- Promote an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem solving.
- Seek personal development opportunities and solicit feedback.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This position may be found in multiple brands; some duties may vary by brand.
- Retail or sales experience preferred.
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to learn or adapt to company technology.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to communicate with customers, associates, and management.
- Regular attendance essential; flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, required.
- Constant walking/standing: 67–100% of an 8‑hour shift.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.: 1–33% of a shift.
- Frequent climbing: 34–66% of a shift.
Wage range: $12.00 to $15.00 per hour. Actual rate determined based on qualifications.
