We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time Retail Sales Associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate works with the entire store staff to provide excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. Responsibilities include greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions across a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
- Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items following company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes the assigned training.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
- May be asked to assist customers at exterior locations or retrieve products from exterior storage.
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work with customers and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient basic math calculations.
- Cash‑handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8 % commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Full details are provided during the interview process.
